When we look at the Microsoft web page for Teamprise (http://www.microsoft.com/pathways/teamprise/) my first worries seems to be stilled. Microsoft clearly states that they will continue support for OS X and Linux. This means that I can still use my Macbook Pro for accessing our company TFS without having to dual boot or start a virtual Windows machine. It also means that customers that I have will be able to continue development in their mixed environment. I hope that Microsoft will continue this support for a foreseeable future since I think this is a necessary thing in complex projects. I also hope that Microsoft will continue adding support for other platforms like the mainframe support I previously wrote about.
All in all I think this is good for us customers. Teamprise has done a great job with the product and I believe that Microsoft will continue this forward. I will keep this under surveilance and see what happens.
